Trek Madone SL6 launched a cycle which is costlier than Yamaha R3!

Trek Madone SL6 Disc is now available for Rs 3,59,799 in India

The US bicycle manufacturer has launched its most expensive cycle in India, the Madone SL6 Disc. This race bike is priced at staggering Rs 3,59,799 in India. Trek Madone SL6 is the most sophisticated road bike from the company.

Madone SL6 provides advanced aerodynamics, superior ride quality, and unprecedented integration. The bike is ridiculously light in weight as SL6 tips the scale at just 8.6 kg. The race bike is seriously built only for racing purpose. This is one kind of a product which is not just for showing off to your friends and neighbors.

Talking about retailing of high-performance bikes, Navneet Banka, Country Manager at Trek Bicycle India said, “India has a huge appetite and riders here recognize the value of a superior ride and a quality product. We have received an overwhelming response since the introduction and launch of the ‘performance program’ last year. Our customer-centric strategy has helped us immensely as we bring the next generation of performance bikes. India is a key market for Trek and we will continue our focus to provide a great buying and ownership experience while promoting the sport of leisure and competitive cycling.”

For the regular masses, there is no point in launching such a highly priced bicycle in the country. But this kind of products finds a buyer from the elite class such as businessmen and celebrities.

For instance, you can straight away buy a Yamaha R3 for that price. Speaking about the Kawasaki Ninja 300, you would be left with some money even after paying for RTO and insurance.

Trek has opened the bookings for Madone SL6 in select dealers in the country. The company has more than 34 stores in 32 cities in India.

Akash is a writer, loves writing fiction but here at motorcycle diaries, its all about the world on two wheels.
