RE Classic 350 BS6 is here for Rs 1.65 lakh, bookings open

RE Classic 350 BS6 features EFI with better engine response and drivability

Indian retro motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield has launched the BS6 version of its highest-selling motorcycle in the Indian market. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 is priced at Rs 1.65 lakh ex-showroom. This particular model is available with dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System. It is expected a single-channel ABS-equipped Classic 350 BS6 will also be launched to achieve a competitive price tag.

When compared to the BS4 version, the new BS6 upgrade will cost straight Rs 11,000 extra on the showroom price. An electronic fuel injection system is the major change made to the motorcycle which will not only curb pollution but will also provide more refinement, better throttle response as well as consistent cold starts. The company says that a new EFI system has been tuned to increase the drivability of the new CLassic 350 BS6.

Detailed Pricing of new Classic 350 (All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi)

RE Classic 350 BS6 Colour Scheme Price

Powering the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 is the same 346cc single-cylinder, long-stroke engine with a 2-valve head that does duty on BS4 spec bikes. In the BS4 bike, this unit developed 19.8bhp and 28Nm torque but power figures are not yet revealed by the company. We expect that there might be a fall in the power to about 19bhp with somewhere near same torque number. The engine continues to be paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

Coming to the colour options, the new Classic 350 BS6 gets two new shades – Stealth Black and Chrome Black. Rest of the colours including Signals Airbourne Blue, Signals Stormrider Sand, Gunmetal Grey, and Classic Black will continue to be available in the market. That said, bookings for the new BS6 Classic 350 are now open for Rs 10,000 in all the Royal Enfield dealers across the country.

Akash Vashisth: See, there are a lot of things to look at, but you are one hell of a person when your eyes are pulled towards beauty on two wheels. This guy here is one such animal who loves two wheels more than "Maa ke hath ka Khana." Not yet fully transformed into a seasoned rider but still, there are many things still "under construction." Akash is a writer, loves writing fiction but here at motorcycle diaries, its all about the world on two wheels.
