KTM is upgrading all its showrooms in the country for the launch of more premium bikes in coming months
Austrian swanky motorcycle manufacturer KTM is on its showroom upgrading spree. The showrooms which were already quite premium will be given more upmarket interiors soon. The company is doing so as it is gearing up for the launch of the much-awaited 390 Adventure. Along with the entry-level adventure bike, KTM will launch 790 Duke and the Husqvarna brand in the Indian market.
It is expected that 390 Adventure will go on sale in the international market after the EICMA 2019. After that, India will get all the new bikes from KTM. The 790 Duke is already on sale in the international market, maybe due to upcoming BS6 emission norms, KTM has delayed the launch of 800cc street bike in India.
KTM is also testing Husqvarna bikes in the country and is expected to launch towards the festive season. Speaking about the price range, the Husqvarna motorcycles will carry a premium over its KTM counterparts. KTM which retails 390 Duke at Rs 2.48 lakh ex-showroom may price 390 Adventure at around Rs 2.8 lakh and Husqvarna range from Rs 2.5 lakh.

The company is planning to increase the premium feel of their showrooms and deliver its customers a notch-above experience. Showrooms will see greater changes in the interiors to accommodate premium bikes as well as some exterior touch-ups for including Husqvarna branding.
KTM 390 Adventure, Husqvarna Swartpilen 401, and Vitpilen 401 will feature same 373cc engine from 390 Duke. However, the engine will be tuned differently to aid in touring and off-roading. On the other hand, 790 Duke is powered by 799cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine making 103bhp of power.
One thing should be taken into consideration that KTM will not upgrade its showrooms in smaller cities. This is because the company is intended to sell the premium bikes only in large cities where existing showroom has a large floor area.
