2019 Jawa motorcycle spotted for the first time

2019 Jawa motorcycle gets round headlamp, analog instrument cluster, tan and long seat

The new Jawa motorcycle is ready to be unveiled in India on November 15. Ahead of that, the motorcycle has been spied testing for the first time in the country. The body panels were heavily camouflaged, but the overall silhouette is clearly visible. The bike comes with typical retro elements. Be sure, this model will give the Royal Enfield motorcycles a tough run for money.

The new Jawa model gets inspiration from original Jawa. It boasts round headlamp with dispersion style lens, curvy and muscular fuel tank, long and flat tan seat. Also, the spoke wheels add retro feel to the motorcycle. As the engine of the motorcycle has been unveiled already, it gets faux fins and twin exhaust mufflers adding retro appeal. Ana analog instrument cluster will be there to bring the old school charm to the motorcycle.

The new Jawa motorcycle will get telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at back. Expect a single-channel ABS to be there combined with single disc brake at front and a drum unit at rear. Speaking about its engine, there will be a 293cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that will get dual overhead camshafts. Developed in Italy, this engine is capable of producing 26 bhp of peak power and 28 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duty will be done by a 6-speed gearbox. Also, interestingly, this engine will be BS-VI emission norms compliant.
