Latest Kawasaki Z900RS Will Be Unveiled In Tokyo On 25th October 2017

Latest Kawasaki Z900RS design inspired by 1970s Kawasaki Z1

Kawasaki will unveil a modern-classic iteration of its mid-size nude the Latest Kawasaki Z900RS. The new model, to be known as the Kawasaki Z900RS, will be introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 25, 2017. The Z900RS gets layout inspired by the 1970s Kawasaki Z1, but will be a contemporary motorcycle in all aspects. Kawasaki has posted a teaser movie of the upcoming model on the organization’s YouTube station, confirming earlier reports that the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer is in actuality, focusing on a contemporary classic.

The Z900RS is going to be based on the Kawasaki Z900, therefore it should get the same 948 cc, in-line four motor that makes 123 bhp at 9,500rpm and 98.6 Nm at 7,500 rpm. While contemporary classics have been quite the rage in the past few years globally, the sole retro version in Kawasaki’s line-up, the W800 was discontinued. Seeing the present marketplace trends, and the way that producers such as Triumph and BMW Motorrad are viewing a great deal of interest in their contemporary classic variety, the Z900RS might be a victory, especially if Kawasaki manages to price the bike competitively.

We were expecting the Kawasaki Z900RS to be unveiled at the EICMA show in Milan in November, but seems like Kawasaki does not want to wait any more with a model which has a lot riding on its commercial success. As of this moment, there is no word on once the Z900RS is going to be launched in India, or in any respect. Considering the interest in Triumph’s contemporary classic range however, Kawasaki may very well present this version in India as well, when the new model goes on sale.
