It is first from the Faster Sons family with modern heritage theme.

Yamaha XSR700: Born tomorrow

Yamaha collaborated with Los Angeles-based Japanese bike builder Shinya Kimura to make a theme based motorcycle: “Faster Son,” based on the concept of retro style and modern technology. Yamaha XSR700 is the first from this family, a classic bike with modern technology and this motorbike definitely cannot be ignored when seen on the roads.  The base foundation of this motorbike is MT-07 which itself is a versatile motorbike. XSR700 is more improvised version of MT-07 with better technology and same frame and engine with overall cosmetic change. If you have ridden MT-07 and you jump onto XSR700, you will feel familiar with more added riding comfort and technology.

Yamaha XSR700 is placed in the expected list of Yamaha’s Indian bikes and its launch can be placed in the year 2016. The expected price of INR 7,50,000 is already giving numerous options to Indian motorcyclist in this category. Yamaha will definitely plan XSR700’s entry quite well to make it a success before introducing it to India market.

The XSR700 makes a serious statement. Designed to take a timeless feel built on historical icons, matched with tomorrow’s technology for a pure, entertaining riding experience. With deep torque and a super agile chassis, it’s for those who appreciate heritage and love to ride.

The cutting edge 689cc inline 2-cylinder engine features our special ‘crossplane philosophy’ enabling it to develop linear torque for outstanding acceleration. The retro styled XSR700 also benefits from a tight and lightweight chassis for outstanding agility and handling.

The XSR700 takes the best of design from Yamaha’s history in homage to the past but is very much the motorcycle of tomorrow.
